Montages get more interesting if you try to classify them. I have developed a taxonomy of montages, among them the "falling in love" montage, the "having an epiphany" montage, and the "triumphant life reversal" montage. Seeing the movie Baby Boom for the first time this fall helped me develop labels for montages I'd never even dreamt of.
